The apple blossom bud is now in full bloom. The blossoms should be attracting bees and other pollinators now. Today was probably too wet for them.
Here is the whole tree. Yes it is rather a quirky shape. This is what happens when people don’t prune trees properly as they grow! There are cuckoo pint and violets growing beneath it. The yellow forsythia blooms (back) are dying now. The yellow gorse blooms (left back) are in full bloom also.
